Public Access Computer Guidelines
Main Library and West Branch
- Users must register for Internet stations at the Information Desk.
- Users must be 10 years or older to use an Internet workstation without a parent or guardian present at the workstation.
- Downloading of files is not permitted.
- Users may register for one-hour sessions.
- Sessions may be renewed for one additional hour if no one else is waiting.
- Users may be asked to limit their use of library Internet stations during times of heavy demand.
- Printing from these machines is done at the network printer located at the Circulation Desk. Only black & white printing is available. A fee of $0.10 is charged per sheet printed.
- The Columbia County Public Library Code of Conduct applies to persons using Internet workstations. If an individual uses a computer in an unacceptable manner or disrupts normal library service while using an Internet workstation, the staff may end the session.
- A complete copy of the Library's Public Internet Policy may be viewed at the
service Desk. Failure to abide by these policies will result in loss of use of library Internet stations in accordance with established procedures.

- Sessions may be renewed for two additional 30-minute periods if no one else is waiting.
- Users may be asked to limit their use of library Internet stations during times of heavy demand.
- Printing from these machines is done at the network printer located at the Circulation Desk. Only black & white printing is available. A fee of $0.10 is charged per sheet printed.
